I went for my monthly MD Anderson doctor's appointment today and got the results from last months molecular blood tests and this months regular blood tests. Dr. Faderl says that everything looks great........yay!!!! :) I will have to have a bone marrow test done in a month which I am not looking forward to, but know that it is necessary. :( We will be going to Little House tomorrow for Lauren's and my birthday. The kids are really looking forward to seeing the horses as well as their cousins. We hope that it doesn't rain! We'll have to wait for Glenn to get off from work and then we can take off. This afternoon, when I went to pick up the kids from Nana and Papa's, I noticed a couple of somethings up in the sky that didn't look quite normal. The sky was clear blue, no clouds, and I saw a couple of streaks in the sky....one long and one short. Both were falling at a downward rate quite fast with something yellow on the end. I ran in and got everyone t...

I have seen a couple of blogs where the blogger makes a list of things you might or might not know about them. So here's my list of 20 things you might or might not know about me: 1. I buried a time capsule in my backyard when I was 11. I never dug it up. 2. My first car was a Ford Mustang. I bought it with my own money for $3300.00. 3. My all time favorite movie is "Somewhere In Time". I watched it again on Valentine's evening. 4. I played the flute in the Scarborough Spartan Marching Band in high school. 5. I was once in a commercial for Channel 2. The marching band played and formed the number two. I think it was only shown on TV once. 6. My second all time favorite movie is "Pretty Woman". 7. I took ballet and tap dancing when I was in second grade. 8. My first dog's name was Buffy. 9. My first job was when I was in 7th grade. I worked during the summer for Junior Achievement taking apart telephones. 10. I had a crush on Sean Cassida...

Wow! This is my 100th post!! Alyssa is also going to be in a "parade" at school on the 24th of this month. She had to make a float to wear during their parade. We decorated a big box for her to wear. Here is a picture of it. The kids also worked on some projects today, too. Alyssa did some horses in pencils. Jessica did some wolves in some colored pencils. See what they have done........

We kept pretty busy this weekend. I tried to get all of my "chores" done on Saturday and Jessica helped by doing some laundry, dusting and vacuuming.........for pay, of course. Alyssa and I went to the school to pick up her Girl Scout cookies. I still have to get them separated and then I will be handing them out to everyone, hopefully by the end of this week. The girls and I went to church with Nana on Saturday evening. St. Ambrose changed their Saturday evening mass to 5:00 pm instead of 6:00 pm, which worked out pretty good. It got us back to the house fairly early and Glenn made us his grilled chipotle chicken. On Sunday, the girls and I went to Jane's for Rebecca's baby shower. We played games, had a couple of drinks and got to visit with everyone. I think everyone is on the mend at our house, now. Just a bit of coughing here and there but nothing we can't live with. Next weekend, the kids have a three day weekend which they are looking forward to. Th...

I just can't believe that it's already February. Before we know it, it will be Spring Break and then Easter Break and then we'll be rushing nonstop towards the end of the school year. Glenn has had a relapse of his illness and feels really bad again. Jess and I are both still fighting our coughs and hope we don't get a relapse of what Glenn has now. We're also hoping that Rosie Posey stays healthy in the midst of this hotbed of germs. This Satuday we'll be picking up the Girl Scout cookies, so for anyone that ordered.....we'll be delivering soon! I think we're going to be going to a baby shower on Sunday.....more pictures to be posted by then.

I've been sick, sick I tell you! I have had a cold for a couple of weeks now. I thought I was doing better earlier this week, and then Glenn got sick and I went downhill again. Now Jess is sick, too, and we are just hoping that Alyssa doesn't also get it. It was Catholic Schools Week at St. Ambrose this week. We had Grandparents Day on on Wednesday. We took lunch up to all of the kids as well as the "adopted" kids. On Friday they had "Snow Day" but I wasn't able to make it to take pictures because I was really busy at work. On a really really positive note, Alyssa made a 100 on her "harder lattice" test this week. We are really proud of her. She first passed her Multiplication Test and then she passed her Lattice Test. Now after passing the Harder Lattice, it's on to Partial Products, which I know nothing about. She really worried about this last test because she thought it would take her several times to get through it.....but sh...

We have had a really busy Saturday, again. Jessica had to be at the Academic Rally by 11:45 this morning to take her English test. We brought Ashley G. home with us to work on a school project with Jessica for their Guidance Class. They finished it and then played around for awhile. They even made cupcakes with Alyssa's Cupcake Maker.......that's a really neat toy! Jessica went home with Ashley and I will have to pick her up tomorrow morning. I also found some old videos of Jessica on our old computer. Check them out at http://www.youtube.com/shellymilner I'll probably catch a lot of flack from the kids for th is one, but here is one of them many years ago in the bath tub.....I thought it was really cute.
