Not much going on around here this week. The kids have had the SAT tests at school all week so they haven't had any homework. Great for me, because I can work out in the evenings without worrying about having to stop and help study for tests, finish homework and other kid stuff. I also set up a FaceBook account this week. I have had a lot of fun updating and commenting on other people's FaceBook pages. It's amazing how many friends and family use FaceBook. It's a great way of keeping in touch with everyone. This weekend, we are planning a get-together at Mom's for my birthday, Rox's birthday and Mom's birthday. We're planning dinner for the whole family to celebrate. Jessica will be going to Kendel's birthday party to sleep with the White Tigers at the Downtown Aquarium. That ought to be fun - but she'll miss the fun at Nana's. I'm sure she's really upset!

Friday was Go Texan Day. The kids got to dress up in their western stuff. I got to leave work early - Yay for me! Alyssa pretty much got to have a "fun" day at school. They watched Pecos Bill and did some other Cowboyish stuff. She brought home the stick horse that they made over the past month and it hasn't left her side. She named her Bailey. :) This is also the name that she wanted to name the new colt to be born this spring but I don't think Vicki's going for that one. Jessica, on the other hand, did not have a "fun" day at school. It was business as usual. On Saturday, we decided to do some spring planting. The whole family went to Houston Garden Center and the kids got to pick out some flowers for themselves. I got some new flowers for my hanging basket and Glenn picked out a couple of Cypress firs for the urns next to the pool. Wednesday was my birthday. It was also Ash Wednesday. I decided to go to mass with the girls, and mom and Donna were also there, so we all sat together. I also decided to take a half a day of vacation, so I left the office around 1:00 and went shopping. I was able to use my JCPenney gift certificates on myself and then also got mom something for her upcoming birthday. Roxanne's birthday is on Saturday so I'll be going shopping again this weekend. After shopping, I picked up the girls and then the whole family got together for dinner at Babin's to celebrate. It was really fun to get everyone together in the middle of the week. Next, we'll be celebrating ALL of our birthday's together on March 7th. Glenn, Jess, and Alyssa got me a very small camcorder since I have been taking lots of videos with my camera and they don't always turn out so great. I don't know what happened to me today, but I slept so great last night, but when that alarm went off this morning, it felt as if I had just crawled into bed. Needless to say, I was really tired all day long. I got the kids to school this morning and got to see all of the really neat floats that the 2nd and 3rd graders had made for their Mardi Gras Parade. Both kids came home with lots of beads and dubloons from the parade. The office celebrated my birthday today by ordering lunch from The Olive Garden. We had lasagne, salad and their wonderful breadsticks. .....Then we had a really chocolatey chocolate cake. YUM! Tomorrow I will be going to mass with the girls and nana in the morning for Ash Wednesday. I will be working a half of a day, go shopping and then get the girls and go home and wait until we go out to dinner at Babins for my birthday.

Yesterday we went out to Little House to celebrate Lauren's and my birthday's. We all had a really great time. The girls got their pictures taken on the tractor and then they gave the horses their carrots and apples. It was really windy and a little chilly, as you can see from the pictures. Lauren came home with us and stayed the night. This morning we got kolaches and donuts for breakfast. Then the kids played outside most of the day. Now they are complaining that it's Sunday afternoon and their bored .

I went for my monthly MD Anderson doctor's appointment today and got the results from last months molecular blood tests and this months regular blood tests. Dr. Faderl says that everything looks great........yay!!!! :) I will have to have a bone marrow test done in a month which I am not looking forward to, but know that it is necessary. :( We will be going to Little House tomorrow for Lauren's and my birthday. The kids are really looking forward to seeing the horses as well as their cousins. We hope that it doesn't rain! We'll have to wait for Glenn to get off from work and then we can take off. This afternoon, when I went to pick up the kids from Nana and Papa's, I noticed a couple of somethings up in the sky that didn't look quite normal. The sky was clear blue, no clouds, and I saw a couple of streaks in the sky....one long and one short. Both were falling at a downward rate quite fast with something yellow on the end. I have seen a couple of blogs where the blogger makes a list of things you might or might not know about them. So here's my list of 20 things you might or might not know about me: 1. I buried a time capsule in my backyard when I was 11. I never dug it up. 2. My first car was a Ford Mustang. I bought it with my own money for $3300.00. 3. My all time favorite movie is "Somewhere In Time". I watched it again on Valentine's evening. 4. I played the flute in the Scarborough Spartan Marching Band in high school. 5.
