A Look in to 2017 The last time I posted in this blog, Jessica was going to prom and Alyssa had just turned 15. So, to update, Jessica is now about to finish her second year of college at Texas Women's University in Denton. She will be coming back home this summer and finishing her last 2 years of nursing school here at TWU in Houston. We are all really excited to have her be coming back home. Alyssa is now about to finish 11th grade at JV High School. Alyssa is in a Health Sciences class this year and goes to CyFair hospital to help out. She is about to turn 17 next month and will be a SENIOR next year. Time to start thinking about colleges for my baby girl! In October of 2016, we moved my mom and dad into a new house closer to Donna and myself. This has worked out great with being able to see them more regularly and since they have both had some health issues it has been easier for Donna to get them to their doctors appointments. In December 2016, mom fell a

This past weekend was chock full of festivities, starting on Friday going all the way through Sunday. Friday was Alyssa's 15th birthday......Happy Birthday, Alyssa!! It also happened to be Jessica's senior prom. That meant juggling photo taking sessions and dinner out for the birthday girl. Jessica went to prom and then had a weekend getaway in Galveston for senior year. We took Alyssa to PF Changs and our waiter was full of all kinds of interesting information concerning returning diners at the restaurant. After the celebratory cake, a man walked up and gave Alyssa a Craig Biggio rookie trading card and $10. He was evidently the owner of a trading card company and our waiter was sworn to secrecy regarding this individuals identity. Haha! Birthday party for Alyssa on Saturday turned out really nice. The weather cooperated for once! We had 4 additional teenage girls sleep over on Saturday night....fun, fun, fun!! Sunday was a rainy day and then Jess

I'm officially old. There, I said it. I can't believe that as of this past Saturday, I'm the mother of an 18 year old. Jessica will be graduating from Jersey Village High School in less than 2 months. Then it's off to orientation at TWU in Denton, TX. But before that happens, we have her official birthday party coming up on Saturday, then prom, then Alyssa's 15th birthday......so we don't have a lot of down time anymore. Water polo is also keeping us very busy. Alyssa has several water polo games each week but that is also coming to an end soon. So until I get a little room to breathe I'm just going to enjoy the ride. Jessica's Birthday Dinner at PF Chang's My Beautiful Girls Brianna's Birthday Party Easter Sunday Water Polo - My Little # 19
Memory Booster, Please??

I am in dire need of something to boost my memory. Really, it's in just one specific area. I can't seem to remember where I've kept some of my OLD pictures online. I use Shutterfly, but this was before I used Shutterfly. I keep thinking it must be Picasa, but my pictures aren't there. I KNOW I have pictures floating around there in cyberspace that I can't seem to put my finger on. So I'm going to search a while longer. There's no telling what I've got saved out there. Guess I'll just have to do a bit more searching. Stay tuned!!

I woke up Saturday feeling a little "blah" but I was scheduled for a facial, and Hell or high water, I was getting my facial. My skin thanked me. It was the least I could do. I made it home and was sick sick sick . I haven't had a barfing sickness in a long time......luckily I only get it once ever 5+ years or so. So, for the rest of Saturday, I stayed in bed and fought the nausea and dizziness. Not so much nauseous today, but still fighting the dizziness and headache. Ugh! Jess went to watch JV play Water Polo in the afternoon and then called to say they had decided to go to the dance at school. She said it was pretty lame and so they went into the parking lot and played music and danced in the rain. Needless to say, she got really wet. Since I was sick sick sick , Glenn decided to take Alyssa out to dinner so that they wouldn't make me nauseous with the smell of their food cooking. Today, I have relinquished my car to Jessica and she has been at St.

I'm making NO promises. Okay, I said it. No promises of keeping up with this blog. (Maybe that might give me a kick in the butt to keep it up to date) Or not. Time will tell. Right? Anyway, we're into the 3rd month of 2014 and not a whole lot has happened. We celebrated New Years Eve at our house and invited the usual suspects. We celebrated my birthday as well as Lauren's birthday at Joni's house. We celebrated my birthday again, as well as Mom's and Roxanne's birthdays last weekend. It was birthday week for me! We've had an awful lot of cold weather this year, too. The kids have had 2 "Extreme Cold Weather" days off from school. Alyssa actually made an "Ice" man. We ended up with sleet mixed with snow so no snowman. I heard the song, "Do you want to build a Snowman?", from the movie Frozen , so many times during those days that I got it stuck in my head and I was singing it too. Too much togetherness, I

Looks like I might have gotten a little side tracked over the past year. No posts. No pictures. Nothing. Nada. I seem to be having a hard time keeping up with blogging lately. Oh, who am I kidding. I can't even keep up with my laundry. Okay......Let me see if I can recap the last year. And that's only if my memory will start working. *Deep Breath* Wish me luck! Let's see, I left off around January of 2013. Jess is a Junior in High School and Alyssa is in 8th grade in Junior High School. We are excited that she will be in High School next year and Jess will be a Senior! When I started this blog, Jess was in 4th grade and Alyssa was in 1st grade. In 2013, We had birthday celebrations, a Mother's Day celebration, Father's Day, but no vacation. We had first days of school, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Jessica got her license. We went to the zoo. I won tickets to a Texan game. The AC went out and had to buy a new one. Someone h
