Where Has the Last Year Gone??


Looks like I might have gotten a little side tracked over the past year.  No posts.  No pictures.  Nothing.  Nada.  I seem to be having a hard time keeping up with blogging lately.  Oh, who am I kidding.  I can't even keep up with my laundry.


Okay......Let me see if I can recap the last year.  And that's only if my memory will start working.

Let's see, I left off around January of 2013.  Jess is a Junior in High School and Alyssa is in 8th grade in Junior High School.  We are excited that she will be in High School next year and Jess will be a Senior!   When I started this blog, Jess was in 4th grade and Alyssa was in 1st grade.
In 2013, We had birthday celebrations, a Mother's Day celebration, Father's Day, but no vacation.   We had first days of school, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Jessica got her license.  We went to the zoo.  I won tickets to a Texan game.  The AC went out and had to buy a new one.   Someone hit my car in the Walmart parking lot and I had to put it in the shop.  Glenn's truck started acting up and we had to put it in the shop.  Seems like 2013 wasn't a great year for our finances, or our cars for that matter.   I guess 2014 didn't start out very well, either, since my brakes went out on my car and I had to put it in the shop. 
I don't remember taking a whole lot of photos but I'll check and see what I can find.

Today was picture day at school for the girls. I took Alyssa to get her hair cut yesterday so that it would look nice for today. Jessica had hers cut a couple of weeks ago and it still looked rather good. I put foam curlers in Alyssa's hair last night and she had big fat curls in her hair this morning. I hope the pictures turn out nice. The photographer took one of both girls together and I think that one should turn out really cute. I still need to make Alyssa a follow-up appointment at the doctor for her UTI. She finished her antibiotics on Sunday so it's time to be retested. I just found out that Jessica's football game tomorrow was canceled so hopefully I can get the appointment for tomorrow after school. Jessica is due for her 3rd Guardasil shot and both are due for their flu shots. I don't think they'll be very happy about that.

The Weekend Blahs!

I woke up Saturday feeling a little "blah" but I was scheduled for a facial, and Hell or high water, I was getting my facial.  My skin thanked me.  It was the least I could do.  I made it home and was sick sick sick .  I haven't had a barfing sickness in a long time......luckily I only get it once ever 5+ years or so.  So, for the rest of Saturday, I stayed in bed and fought the nausea and dizziness.  Not so much nauseous today, but still fighting the dizziness and headache.  Ugh! Jess went to watch JV play Water Polo in the afternoon and then called to say they had decided to go to the dance at school.  She said it was pretty lame and so they went into the parking lot and played music and danced in the rain.  Needless to say, she got really wet. Since I was sick sick sick , Glenn decided to take Alyssa out to dinner so that they wouldn't make me nauseous with the smell of their food cooking.   Today, I have relinquished my car to ...

Time For A Little Rambling

It's been so long since I've been here that I don't even know where to begin, so bear with me and I'll try not to ramble on. School started over a month ago and boy is it in full swing. Jessica was going to try out for the SAS Volleyball team but decided against it at the last minute. She really loves her tumbling class and thought that it might interfer with it. She'd rather tumble than anything. Alyssa also started tumbling at the beginning of September and really loves it, too. We've already had several tests and I'm trying my best to make sure that Alyssa makes decent grades but she's struggling with several of her classes. We've also had Spirit Week at school and the kids have worn crazy shoes & socks, crazy ties & hats, crazy hair & face, and pajama bottoms and spirit shirts.
