Time For A Little Rambling

It's been so long since I've been here that I don't even know where to begin, so bear with me and I'll try not to ramble on. School started over a month ago and boy is it in full swing. Jessica was going to try out for the SAS Volleyball team but decided against it at the last minute. She really loves her tumbling class and thought that it might interfer with it. She'd rather tumble than anything. Alyssa also started tumbling at the beginning of September and really loves it, too. We've already had several tests and I'm trying my best to make sure that Alyssa makes decent grades but she's struggling with several of her classes. We've also had Spirit Week at school and the kids have worn crazy shoes & socks, crazy ties & hats, crazy hair & face, and pajama bottoms and spirit shirts. Jessica is on the Yearbook Staff and is having fun. Alyssa goes to Camp Kappe next week and will be gone from Tuesday through Friday......we're going to mi...

Happy New Years!!

Fireworks! Happy New Years, everyone!!! The girls and I went to the movies this afternoon to see "Marley and Me".........great movie! Of course, I boohoo'd at the end and then Alyssa turned around and said, "Mom! Why are you crying?" My kids, just don't get it. Although Alyssa did say that she thought it was very sad......AND why do people have to make such sad movies. I think she was looking for a happy ending. My kind of gal! This evening, the girls and I met Nana, Donna & Bri, and Jane, Cailin & Katy at Tokyo One. I almost felt guilty for only paying the kids price for the kids since I think they ate as much food as I did. I don't know how it happened but somewhere along the way both of my kids have acquired a liking for shrimp. Doesn't matter how it's cooked, they just really like shrimp. News From the Doctor

I received news of my bone marrow aspiration from Dr. Faderl on Friday evening. Once again, the molecular results showed positive but he says NOT TO WORRY. Hmmm.....easy for him to say! He said that it was a very low positive reading and he will get the chromosome test back in another 2 weeks. He says that they can do the molecular test on a regular blood draw so they will retest that one when I go back in 3 weeks. I'll TRY not to worry until then. Oh! Good news..........one of the mealworms has already died! I disposed of the body a little while ago. One down, 5 to go! Actually, in the worm state, they do very little but eat and sleep. They are living in a glass bowl in oatmeal and cheerios and carrots. Evidently, they suck the water out of the carrots and eat everything else. I'm shivering as I type!
