A Look in to 2017 The last time I posted in this blog, Jessica was going to prom and Alyssa had just turned 15.  So, to update, Jessica is now about to finish her second year of college at Texas Women's University in Denton.  She will be coming back home this summer and finishing her last 2 years of nursing school here at TWU in Houston.  We are all really excited to have her be coming back home.   Alyssa is now about to finish 11th grade at JV High School.  Alyssa is in a Health Sciences class this year and goes to CyFair hospital to help out.  She is about to turn 17 next month and will be a SENIOR next year.  Time to start thinking about colleges for my baby girl! In October of 2016, we moved my mom and dad into a new house closer to Donna and myself.  This has worked out great with being able to see them more regularly and since they have both had some health issues it has been easier for Donna to get them to their doctors appointment...

Happy New Years!!

Fireworks! Happy New Years, everyone!!! The girls and I went to the movies this afternoon to see "Marley and Me".........great movie! Of course, I boohoo'd at the end and then Alyssa turned around and said, "Mom! Why are you crying?" My kids, just don't get it. Although Alyssa did say that she thought it was very sad......AND why do people have to make such sad movies. I think she was looking for a happy ending. My kind of gal! This evening, the girls and I met Nana, Donna & Bri, and Jane, Cailin & Katy at Tokyo One. I almost felt guilty for only paying the kids price for the kids since I think they ate as much food as I did. I don't know how it happened but somewhere along the way both of my kids have acquired a liking for shrimp. Doesn't matter how it's cooked, they just really like shrimp. A Late Start to the 2014 Blog

I'm making NO promises.  Okay, I said it.  No promises of keeping up with this blog.  (Maybe that might give me a kick in the butt to keep it up to date)  Or not.  Time will tell.  Right? Anyway, we're into the 3rd month of 2014 and not a whole lot has happened.   We celebrated New Years Eve at our house and invited the usual suspects.  We celebrated my birthday as well as Lauren's birthday at Joni's house.  We celebrated my birthday again, as well as Mom's and Roxanne's birthdays last weekend.  It was birthday week for me! We've had an awful lot of cold weather this year, too.  The kids have had 2 "Extreme Cold Weather" days off from school.  Alyssa actually made an "Ice" man.  We ended up with sleet mixed with snow so no snowman.  I heard the song,  "Do you want to build a Snowman?", from the movie Frozen , so many times during those days that I got it stuck in my head and I was singing it too.  Too...
