I went to MD Anderson today for my scheduled bone marrow test. Glenn and I left the house at 6:00 am.........that's AM as in morning, people! I never leave the house that early but evidently, many people DO leave the house that early. The freeways were full of people traveling to work and who knows where else. Anyway, I was scheduled for bloodwork at 6:45 am, the bone marrow test at 8:00 am and a doctor's appointment at 9:00 am. I was sedated and so it was treated as a surgery....not allowed to drive OR make important decisions for 24 hours. :o) I will get the results back next week sometime. Dr. Faderl says that the bloodwork looks great so I shouldn't worry too much. If the molecular test comes back positive, it might be a false positive and they will do a different blood test to check that out. They are really looking at the chromosomal test and that should be accurate. My hip is a little sore, but my hand where the IV was inserted hurts more......go figure!!! It has

I'm still in limbo. Well, kind of in limbo. The electricity is still out at the office and we are told that it might be on sometime after Thursday.......2 weeks after the fact. We have been working out of Sonia's home but have done everything that we can do without computers or phones. I can still work on some files here at home, though, so that is what I am planning on doing for the time being. That being said, I still have to drive into town to take the girls to school since they started on Monday. AND the HOV lane is not open to the public yet so I am sitting in traffic both ways. Hopefully, it will be re-opened by the end of the week. I don't think the school is counting tardies since many of the students have to use the HOV lane (and can't) to get to school. Things around here are slowly getting back to normal. A few stray traffic lights are still out, blinking, or hanging by a thread from their poles. In some parts of town, people still don't have p
Glenn's family still doesn't have electricity. We had them over last night for dinner and a movie which turnned out really nice! The ice cream and angel food cake was really great and I think everyone enjoyed it. We still can't persuade them to stay the night but I know if the positions were reversed, I wouldn't think twice about staying with someone that had cool air-conditioning! The kids start school tomorrow morning......The power's back on at St. Ambrose. We went to church last night with my Mom and Donna and it's sad to see how many people STILL don't have electricity. The heats back and the cool front is now just a memory. Even though we don't have electricity at the office, I'm going to go in after I drop the kids off at school. Who knows?? .......I might be able to get something done.
