I'm still in limbo. Well, kind of in limbo. The electricity is still out at the office and we are told that it might be on sometime after Thursday.......2 weeks after the fact. We have been working out of Sonia's home but have done everything that we can do without computers or phones. I can still work on some files here at home, though, so that is what I am planning on doing for the time being. That being said, I still have to drive into town to take the girls to school since they started on Monday. AND the HOV lane is not open to the public yet so I am sitting in traffic both ways. Hopefully, it will be re-opened by the end of the week. I don't think the school is counting tardies since many of the students have to use the HOV lane (and can't) to get to school.
Things around here are slowly getting back to normal. A few stray traffic lights are still out, blinking, or hanging by a thread from their poles. In some parts of town, people still don't have power, some businesses (like mine!) and restaurants still can't open. Jessica has about 14 kids that still don't have electricity in her class and Alyssa thinks there are about 7 in her class that still don't have electricity........and that just out of 2 classes.
