It's the middle of the week. Wednesday. Hump Day. Whatever you call it, it means that tomorrow is Thursday and we're on our way to the weekend. We have a busy few days ahead of us. Tomorrow, Jessica will be trying out for the Varsity Cheerleading squad. She won't find out if she makes it until Friday after school. I will be there for her when she hears the news, either to cheer her on or to pick up the pieces. Let's hope it's not to pick up the pieces. I told her that we would either be going out for a victory dinner or a defeat dinner. Let's hope it's not a defeat dinner. :)

Alyssa has a birthday party on Friday right after school and I'll pick her up after I get off from work. I will pick up Jessica and take her back to work with me.

On Saturday, we have a wedding shower for Glenn's little brother, Clint and his wife-to-be, Lupe. We'll be going to Los Cucos to celebrate the shower. I can't wait to see the family.

On a different note, I did something today that I should be really ashamed of. I was craving a bean burrito from Taco Bell all day and I finally gave in and got one this evening. First let me say, I haven't had a bean burrito from Taco Bell for at least 10 years! I ruined my record and then I didn't even work out this evening. I got a lot to make up for tomorrow!

Wow!! Is it that time already????

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am so far behind on writing on my blog and summer vacation is over and school has started!!!!!!! The girls and I went on vacation last week to Galveston Island and stayed at the San Louis hotel, which Jessica only just recently stopped calling it the St. Luis. Donna and Brianna met us there and stayed at the same hotel. The first day, we stopped off at the beach and built sand castles. The second day we went to Moody Gardens Palm Beach and the rest of the time we spent at the hotel pool which was just beautiful! It's Official!

As of Sunday, I am officially the mother of a teenager. Wow! I can only hope that the next 5 years go as smoothly as the first 13 did. I can also hope that I don't get paid back for Glenn's wild teenage years. From what I understand, they were doozies!! We celebrated Jessica's big 13th birthday with a family party on Sunday. We had hoped that we would have had enough warm weather to warm the pool up for swimming, but it's been on the cool side during the nights and so the pool was no where near being warm enough to swim in. Well, except for crazy Alyssa who cannon-ba lled into the pool. Jessica got Band Hero for her birthday Alyssa loves to play guitar but even more than that, she loves to sing. I think this is her "Rock Band" face. One of the other things Jessica got for her birthday was a pitching net. We've Been Robbed!!

The girls and I got home today around 5:00 pm, pulled the car into the garage and then unloaded the groceries that I had picked up earlier. I left the garage door opened as I have every day since I can remember. Around 6:30, we heard tires screeching outside and both girls ran down the stairs to see what it was that was making that horrible sound. We went outside and saw the tire tracks on the street but no cars that we could see. About 2 minutes later, I got a call from Glenn on his cell phone and he said that he was chasing down a truck that had been in front of our house loading up the stuff from the garage! He lost them going into an apartment complex near the house. He said they looked pretty cruddy and they were in an old beat up white truck but he couldn't get close enough to get the license plate number.
