Do I remember how to blog?



Hmmmm.....Once again. I'm not gonna say it. Do I even remember how?





Okay, let's get started.



Today is April 20, 2011. The day before my sister's 50th birthday. Happy early birthday, Donna Kay!


It's also the Wednesday before Easter. That's a good thing, 'cause I get Friday off.



I guess I'll start going backwards from here. This past weekend, we celebrated Jessica's 14th birthday. Let me pause here to take a deep breath and say again, we celebrated Jessica's 14th birthday! I feel old.


We had all of the family over and a really great time. Jessica got lots of really nice things for her birthday, too.


Before the family arrived, Jessica had a track meet to attend at Barnett Stadium towards south Houston. I had to take her and pick her up as well as get ready for the party all before everyone arrived. I guess that makes me Super Mom......SM. Think about it and it will all make sense.


We celebrated Jessica's ACTUAL birthday on Monday April 11th by going to Texas Road House. I also took her lunch from Panda Express and brought cupcakes from Crave Cupcakes. On Sunday, we celebrated Jessica and Brianna's birthdays by going to PF Changs. Two things here are very clear. We eat a lot and we celebrate Jessica's birthday WAY too much!


On Saturday April 9th, we celebrated Ethan's 6th birtday at the Bounce House. Afterwards, Jessica, Alyssa and I went shopping at Memorial City Mall for a graduation dress for Jess and a dress for Alyssa to wear to Jessica's graduation.




Jessica's BETA trip at school was on April 1st and 2nd. We had to have them to school by 5:00 am....YES... 5:00 am. It was a LONG day.


Saturday March 26th, Jessica had a track meet at Strake Jesuit and since Alyssa is Track Manager, she also went. The day was long and hot. We went through every drink and snack we brought......and then some.



During Spring Break, I took off a couple of days and went to Galveston for a day with my girls, Donna and Bri. We met Roxanne, Jackie and all their kids there as well. Fun times!

Wow!! Is it that time already????

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am so far behind on writing on my blog and summer vacation is over and school has started!!!!!!! The girls and I went on vacation last week to Galveston Island and stayed at the San Louis hotel, which Jessica only just recently stopped calling it the St. Luis. Donna and Brianna met us there and stayed at the same hotel. The first day, we stopped off at the beach and built sand castles. The second day we went to Moody Gardens Palm Beach and the rest of the time we spent at the hotel pool which was just beautiful! Papa picked the kids up from school since Nana is still in Alaska......we really miss her!! She has been gone for 2 weeks and should be back by Tuesday morning. It's Official!

As of Sunday, I am officially the mother of a teenager. Wow! I can only hope that the next 5 years go as smoothly as the first 13 did. I can also hope that I don't get paid back for Glenn's wild teenage years. From what I understand, they were doozies!! We celebrated Jessica's big 13th birthday with a family party on Sunday. We had hoped that we would have had enough warm weather to warm the pool up for swimming, but it's been on the cool side during the nights and so the pool was no where near being warm enough to swim in. Well, except for crazy Alyssa who cannon-ba lled into the pool. Jessica got Band Hero for her birthday Alyssa loves to play guitar but even more than that, she loves to sing. I think this is her "Rock Band" face. One of the other things Jessica got for her birthday was a pitching net. Last weekend, we spent Easter at my sister's house and my girls hid Easter eggs for Ethan and Ryan. .......And last but not least......Meet the newest

We've Been Robbed!!

The girls and I got home today around 5:00 pm, pulled the car into the garage and then unloaded the groceries that I had picked up earlier. I left the garage door opened as I have every day since I can remember. Around 6:30, we heard tires screeching outside and both girls ran down the stairs to see what it was that was making that horrible sound. We went outside and saw the tire tracks on the street but no cars that we could see. About 2 minutes later, I got a call from Glenn on his cell phone and he said that he was chasing down a truck that had been in front of our house loading up the stuff from the garage! He lost them going into an apartment complex near the house. He said they looked pretty cruddy and they were in an old beat up white truck but he couldn't get close enough to get the license plate number.
