Still Waiting.............
It's a little after 7:00 pm and the wind has started to pick up, but no rain yet. The idiot teenagers from across the street are outside playing football and listening to their loud music.........I really really wish they would find someplace else to go.
The power has already gone off and on several times in the past hour so it probably won't be much longer before it's out for good. I don't have much ice so I don't know what we're going to do with the stuff in the fridge. I started freezing water in tupperware containers but they're still not completely frozen.
Ike's landfall is scheduled for tonight but the outer rain bands have already started coming up on land, which should be reaching us soon.
We're planning on sleeping downstairs tonight in the living room. The kids are really excited about that. They want the power to go out so that they can light the candles, but I don't think they really understand that if the power goes out that it will be out for awhile. It's really hot and humid here at the moment and I'm not looking forward to going with out AC.
