The Weekend Blahs!

I woke up Saturday feeling a little "blah" but I was scheduled for a facial, and Hell or high water, I was getting my facial.  My skin thanked me.  It was the least I could do.  I made it home and was sick sick sick.  I haven't had a barfing sickness in a long time......luckily I only get it once ever 5+ years or so.  So, for the rest of Saturday, I stayed in bed and fought the nausea and dizziness.  Not so much nauseous today, but still fighting the dizziness and headache.  Ugh!

 Jess went to watch JV play Water Polo in the afternoon and then called to say they had decided to go to the dance at school.  She said it was pretty lame and so they went into the parking lot and played music and danced in the rain.  Needless to say, she got really wet.

Since I was sick sick sick, Glenn decided to take Alyssa out to dinner so that they wouldn't make me nauseous with the smell of their food cooking.  

Today, I have relinquished my car to Jessica and she has been at St. Max doing her volunteer thang for  CCE.  Now she has come home and picked up Alyssa and they've gone to Starbucks.  So here I sit with my laptop.  All I can say is that I better feel better soon! (I don't got TIME for this!)

Wow!! Is it that time already????

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am so far behind on writing on my blog and summer vacation is over and school has started!!!!!!! The girls and I went on vacation last week to Galveston Island and stayed at the San Louis hotel, which Jessica only just recently stopped calling it the St. Luis. Donna and Brianna met us there and stayed at the same hotel. The first day, we stopped off at the beach and built sand castles. The second day we went to Moody Gardens Palm Beach and the rest of the time we spent at the hotel pool which was just beautiful! It's Official!

As of Sunday, I am officially the mother of a teenager. Wow! I can only hope that the next 5 years go as smoothly as the first 13 did. I can also hope that I don't get paid back for Glenn's wild teenage years. From what I understand, they were doozies!! We celebrated Jessica's big 13th birthday with a family party on Sunday. We had hoped that we would have had enough warm weather to warm the pool up for swimming, but it's been on the cool side during the nights and so the pool was no where near being warm enough to swim in. Well, except for crazy Alyssa who cannon-ba lled into the pool. Jessica got Band Hero for her birthday Alyssa loves to play guitar but even more than that, she loves to sing. I think this is her "Rock Band" face. One of the other things Jessica got for her birthday was a pitching net. Last weekend, we spent Easter at my sister's house and my girls hid Easter eggs for Ethan and Ryan. .......And last but not least......Meet the newest

We've Been Robbed!!

The girls and I got home today around 5:00 pm, pulled the car into the garage and then unloaded the groceries that I had picked up earlier. I left the garage door opened as I have every day since I can remember. Around 6:30, we heard tires screeching outside and both girls ran down the stairs to see what it was that was making that horrible sound. We went outside and saw the tire tracks on the street but no cars that we could see. About 2 minutes later, I got a call from Glenn on his cell phone and he said that he was chasing down a truck that had been in front of our house loading up the stuff from the garage! He lost them going into an apartment complex near the house. He said they looked pretty cruddy and they were in an old beat up white truck but he couldn't get close enough to get the license plate number.
