It's Halloween night and we have had a really busy Halloween day. The kids had their Halloween party at school, then the Halloween Festival in the evening. I worked the 3rd grade booth and Jessica worked the 6th grade booth. None of us won any of the raffle ticket prizes. :( ........BUT WE HAD A REALLY GREAT TIME ANYWAY!! Look Mom......Pumpkin Brains! Might be a future surgeon?? Jessica imitating her jack-o-lantern Alyssa showing off her art work It's Sunday and we're still recovering from the busy-ness of the weekend. I took the girls to the store to pick out their pumpkins. We haven't decorated for Halloween this year so I promised them that they could still carve their traditional annual Halloween pumpkins. Both wanted to get the biggest they could find and I think they actually did! Jess and Alyssa carved their pumpkins with no help from me, which I think is a first for us.......they did great jobs! Alyssa has a field trip to the Texas Ren Fest on Tuesday and Jess is kind of bummed because she doesn't get to go this year. I think we'll plan on going sometime in November. The school's Halloween Festival will be on Friday from 5-9 and we will be attending that, too. I made Alyssa her appointment at Texas Children's for her renal ultrasound on Monday November 3rd. The Wicked Witch has arrived Jessica as Johnny Depps twin sister? Chelsey, Jess, and Ashley Brianna and Josh.........what the heck are they doing? The Hornets JV football team won their game today and will go onto the Championships next Saturday. Jessie and the JV cheer squad cheered them onto their win. ......and will cheer them on next Saturday, too! The Hornets Varsity football team also played today but haven't heard yet if we had a win. Brianna's (early) Halloween party turned out to be a smash! I think all the kids had a really great time visiting and dancing with each other. I dressed up as a witch and Jess dressed up as a pirate. Glenn ended up not going because he worked late. Alyssa went to her friend, Rachel's, birthday party instead of the Halloween party. They left directly from school and went to see High School Musical 3, went to dinner and then a sleepover at Rachel's house. She was deposited back to me on Saturday afternoon after the football game. All ...

The Houston Texans beat the Detroit Lions - 28 to 21.............and WE were THERE to see it!!!!! The day was beautiful........blue skies and nice weather. The roof of Reliant Stadium was opened up and everything was just perfect! Thank you Johhny and Elaine for taking us and showing us around............All of us had a really wonderful time. Here are some pictures starting with us getting ready to leave before the game to after the game was over. Enjoy!

It's Friday......Again!

Wow! I can't believe how quickly this week went by. I received a phone call from Dr. Cohen yesterday and he said that Alyssa's urinalysis came back normal. We'll still have to go to Texas Children's Hospital for the ultrasound, though. I should hear back from the doctor's office sometime around the beginning of the week. Jessica had a football game to cheer at this afternoon. We lost.......8-6 :( But we had a lot of spirit and that's all that counts. I forgot my camera, so I'll spare you any pictures......you have a reprieve, at least for another week. I get my hair cut tomorrow........YAY! Judy was able to fit us in tomorrow morning. My hair is driving me crazy so I really can't wait. Jess will get her bangs trimmed, too. We'll be all beautified to go to the Texan's Game on Sunday. Wow! That came up quick! I'll post pictures soon.
I took Alyssa for her follow-up check up for her UTI yesterday afternoon. I was told that since this was her second in a handful of months, that she needed to be tested further. Dr. Cohen said that he wanted her to have an ultrasound at Texas Children's Hospital to see if there was anything wrong with her Kidneys or any blockage. If anything is found, she will need to have another test that is a little more invasive. I'm praying that this doesn't happen. Both girls also had to get their flu shots and Jess got her third and last Guardasil shot. I have my next appointment at MD next Friday. I will find out how my chromosome test came out. I can't help but worry.........it seems like everything is going wrong lately, but I won't elaborate at this time.
Today was picture day at school for the girls. I took Alyssa to get her hair cut yesterday so that it would look nice for today. Jessica had hers cut a couple of weeks ago and it still looked rather good. I put foam curlers in Alyssa's hair last night and she had big fat curls in her hair this morning. I hope the pictures turn out nice. The photographer took one of both girls together and I think that one should turn out really cute. I still need to make Alyssa a follow-up appointment at the doctor for her UTI. She finished her antibiotics on Sunday so it's time to be retested. I just found out that Jessica's football game tomorrow was canceled so hopefully I can get the appointment for tomorrow after school. Jessica is due for her 3rd Guardasil shot and both are due for their flu shots. I don't think they'll be very happy about that.
